Specialised Courses

Acrosport (14 years and older)

Over a period of 3 hours, this course is intended for adults aged 14 and over. This acrobatic discipline will teach you the basic moves of hand to hand balancing, banquine, and human pyramids. Physical fitness is required.

Ground Acrobatics (14 years and older)

Over a period of 2 hours, this course is for participants 14 years and over. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, coaches will adapt their teaching to your level. Physical fitness is required.  

Aerials (7 years and older) compulsory evaluation

Over a period of 3 hours, the course is open to participants aged 14 and over who have already done a circus class or related discipline (Tissue, trapeze, aerial hoop or any other). Coaches work on developing a sustained and safe progression in your chosen field.  

Hand balancing (16 years and older) compulsory evaluation

Over a period of 2 hours, this course is for participants aged 16 and over, having already acquired handstand skills and wanting to perfect their circus skills. Coaches will teach them techniques to make them progress in this discipline that combines concentration, coordination and physical strength.  

Juggling (14 years and older)

Over a period of 2 hours, this course is for participants 14 and older. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, coaches will adapt their teaching to your level. Pins, balls, diabolos or others, you will learn at your own pace in a relaxed atmosphere.  

Jeu clownesque (18 ans et plus)

Au programme : échauffements corporels et vocaux, exercices dirigés et improvisations spécifiques. Une approche physique et amusante pour découvrir les principes du travail de clown, ce personnage riche et attachant qui fait rire petits et grands. Approche pédagogique élaborée par Karina Werneck Assis, artiste-clown de Jovia/DrClown.

Flexibilité (16 ans et plus)

Pour un corps libre! Exercices de flexibilité adaptés à votre condition physique. Une façon zen et agréable de se remettre en forme!  

Unicycle (5 years and older)

Whether you are a beginner or experienced, coaches will adapt their teaching to your level. In a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, learn to ride on a wheel and have fun trying figures alone or in groups.  

Trampoline (7 years and older)

This course is designed for children age 7 and older. The courses are adapted according to the age group and level. Coaches work with a specialized program that promotes safe and effective training.

Flying trapeze (8 years and older)

Would you like to soar ? The flying trapeze will pump your adrenaline high for an unforgettable experience! This course is offered to children ages 8 to 15 and adults 16 and older. Coaches will teach you safe assured techniques to make you evolve in this circus discipline.  

Circus arts awareness courses

Chatouille et Cézard (30 to 48 months with a parent)

The ”Chatouille et Cézard” course is 55 minutes per week, for children 30 to 48 months. Accompanied by a parent, this activity of  circus arts awakening allow children to develop their motor skills through various workshops, such as trampoline, aerial devices, manipulating objects, ground circuits and balancing. Learning takes place in a fun way and requires the active participation of the parent.

Chocolat (4-5 years old)

The Chocolat course is 55 minutes per week, for children aged 4 and 5 years. This activity of circus arts awakening allow children to develop their motor skills through various workshops, such as trampoline, aerial devices, manipulating objects, ground circuits and balancing. Learning takes place in a fun way.  

Circus arts initiation courses

Pipo (6-7 years old)

The Pipo course lasts 1:50 hours per week, for children aged 6 and 7 years. This introduction to circus arts will allow the child to explore basic techniques and disciplines such as trampoline, balancing, juggling, ground acrobatics and aerials. The session will also include special activities, such as human pyramids, jumping rope, climbing and clown techniques.  

Slava (8-9 years old)

The Slava course lasts 1:50 hours  per week, for children aged 6 and 7 years. This introduction to circus arts will allow the child to explore the basic techniques and disciplines such as trampoline, balancing, juggling, ground acrobatics and aerials. The session will also include  special activities, such as human pyramids, jumping rope, climbing and clown techniques.  

Charlie (10-11 years old)

The Charlie course lasts 1:50 hours  per week, for children aged 6 and 7 years. This introduction to circus arts will allow the child to explore the basic techniques and disciplines such as trampoline, balancing, juggling, ground acrobatics and aerials. The session will also include  special activities, such as human pyramids, jumping rope, climbing and clown techniques. 

Adocirque (12-15 years old)

With a duration of 2:50 hours, this course is for teenagers aged 12 to 15 years old. This introduction to circus arts will explore basic techniques and disciplines such as trampoline, balancing, juggling, ground acrobatics and aerials. The addition of specific activities will expose your youth to certain specialized  circus disciplines.  

Sol et Gobelet (16 years and older)

With a duration of 3 hours, this course is for adults aged 16 and over. This introduction to circus arts will explore  basic techniques and disciplines such as trampoline, balancing, juggling, ground acrobatics, and aerials. The addition of specific activities will expose your youth to certain specialized circus disciplines.  

Refinement courses

Adrénaline (8 years and older) compulsory evaluation

With a duration of 2:20 hours, this course is for young people who have learned the basics disciplines taught in the introductory courses in circus arts. When the coach identifies skills, motivation, and good behavior in a candidate, he/she will follow up to offer students the opportunity to join the adrenaline group.

Oleg Popov (8 years and older) compulsory evaluation

Over a period of 3 hours, the course is aimed at young people who have met the requirements of Adrenaline program.

Grock (10 years and older) compulsory evaluation

Over a period of 3 hours, twice a week, this course is for young people who have met the requirements of Oleg Popov program.

La Relève (12 years and older) compulsory evaluation

Over a period of 13 hours a week, this course is for young people who have met the requirements of Fratellinis program.

Audition preparation courses

Zavatta (9 years and older) compulsory evaluation

This course is offered to Adrenaline level students who want to audition for circus secondary studies levels 1,2,and 3 . Over a period of 8 hours per week, students will benefit from the expertise of qualified coaches.  

Bazinet (18 years and older) compulsory evaluation

This course is offered to young adults who want to specialize in circus arts in order to audition for superior studies. Over a period of 15 hours per week, students will benefit from the expertise of qualified coaches.  

Registration guidelines

École de cirque de Québec reserves the right to cancel a course where the minimum number of students for that course has not been achieved.

Certain modifications can be made to offered activities without notice.

Rebates are offered to several family members living at the same address:

  • 2nd member =20% off the highest price charged
  • 3rd member and more = 50% the highest price charged

Non resident prices

We must inform you that a new Ville de Québec policy oblidges us to a 50% additional charge to non residents of the city.

Reimbursement

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you feel the need to be reimbursed, please contact us. Reimbursement is calculated as a prorate of received services as of the date of you informing us of your desire to be reimbursed. Please note; a 10% administration fee is also retained as well.
